Big Tent is biennial eco-festival in Fife, and the SBC usually has a stand there, to demonstrate the sort of work it does, which is good publicity for the organization and generally good fun for all concerned. This year, I went along. Liz Balfour was running sessions with young children, and Anna and Lise were making a large basket which drop–in visitors could have a go at, both very successful workshops. We also had some publicity up for the Woven Communities project. As people walked passed and looked at the activities and baskets, it was remarkable the number of people who would come up and saying such things as, ‘Ah yes, I remember my mum, or grandmother, or dad, using or making these…’
