Great Line Basket

Great line fishing was done using larger versions of the sculls used for short line fishing to store the line, but in some places large round baskets were used instead. Either way a rope was fitted around the rim on which the empty hooks sat so they did not get tangled.  These round baskets were made using a stake and strand technique rather than the frame technique used to make sculls.
